West Wales Cricket Club Conference

The Conference was formed in 1982, when six clubs in West Wales grouped together to form a league competition. They were soon joined by a number of other clubs, at a time that the game was growing quickly in this western outpost. Since that time, some of the founder members have moved into other leagues, but of the original members, Aberystwyth CC (formerly Llanilar CC), Lampeter Town and Llandovery remain faithful to the Conference.

In 2012 the League Championship will be contested by 10 teams.

Geographically, the Conference, covers a large area: from Tywyn in the north to Llandovery in the south. We measure distance in a different way in West Wales than anywhere else! All clubs in our league will welcome new players.

For the first time for several seasons, six clubs have agreed to re-form the U11 league. It is hoped that this will gradually lead to an expansion of the U13 and U15 competitions, currently each restricted to three teams each.
