West Wales CC Conference

West Wales Cricket Club Conference

The Conference was formed in 1982, when six clubs in West Wales grouped together to form a league competition. They were soon joined by a number of other clubs, at a time that the game was growing quickly in this western outpost. Since that time, some of the founder members have moved into other leagues, but of the original members, Aberystwyth CC (formerly Llanilar CC), Lampeter Town and Llandovery remain faithful to the Conference.

In 2011 there was a single league programme of 11 teams in the Conference. However, the late withdrawal of Rhayader reduced this to ten teams.

Geographically, the Conference, covers a large area: from Tywyn in the north to Llandovery in the south. We measure distance in a different way in West Wales than anywhere else! All clubs in our league will welcome new players.

In 2011 the Conference operated U13 and U15 competitions and there are plans to re-activate the U11s league in 2012
