West Wales CC Conference

West Wales Cricket Club Conference

The Conference was formed in 1982, when six clubs in West Wales grouped together to form a league competition. They were soon joined by a number of other clubs, at a time that the game was growing quickly in this western outpost. Since that time, some of the founder members have moved into other leagues, but of the original members, Aberystwyth CC (formerly Llanilar CC), Lampeter Town and Llandovery remain faithful to the Conference.

In 2013 the League Championship will be contested by 8 teams: two of our founder members, Lampeter and LLandovery have left the Conference. Landovery CC has decided to play in a different league, partly in order to reduce travelling times; Lampeter members have decided to discontinue their activities.

Geographically, the Conference, covers an area from Tywyn in the north to Tregaron and Aberaeron in the south. We measure distance in a different way in West Wales than anywhere else! All clubs in our league will welcome new players.
